Senior Manager Business Development & Licensing (m/ f)
Key areas of responsibility:
- Conduct initial assessments and coordinate in-depth evaluation of in-licensing opportunities for European territory , including financial modelling (top line, bottom line, NPV analyses).
- Prepare recommendation from an European perspective to Daiichi Sankyo’s global BD&L Committee and European management
- Screen for partnering opportunities and recommend target projects to DS Global Licensing organisation with a focus on Cardio-Metabolic diseases
- Participate in contract negotiations in collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo Global BD&L
- Establish contacts and manage independently relationship with potential business partners in Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies
- Prepare, organize and manage face-to-face partnering discussions
- Coordinate local (country level) Licensing Opportunities between Affiliates and European Headquarter
Your qualifications and key personal attributes are :
- Bachelor´s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing or Business Economics with a minimum of 3 - 5 years industry experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a consulting business (with focus on healthcare sector)
- Preferable first experience in Business Development & Licensing
- Scientific background in the Cardio-Metabolic field would be an advantage
- Ability to conduct financial analysis on potential transaction structures (incl. NPV calculations)
- Ability to work well with various functional areas including Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Finance and Legal on international level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to represent Daiichi Sankyo in meetings with other companies
- A team player, open minded, motivated and proactive
- Ability to work in English – fluent English in written and spoken.
